Join us as we explore the concept and possibilities of establishing a sacred space in our homes. A place of order, beauty, focus and prayer. A sense of holiness, looking to God. A personal, private space of your own. From a simple sitting area, garden spot, dresser top, hallway wall, a converted closet, or an entire room. A sacred space for the home allows us outward signs of our inner faith and devotion.

Labyrinth Journey Within
Digital Collage Giclee Print
My life’s journey is in its seventh decade. My paths through the territory are varied and at times adventurous. I travel through a visual world of color. The warm colors yellows, reds, oranges, even golds attract me. The cool colors of blues, greens and even grays and blacks calm me down. Welcome to this journey within.

Searching for Peace Digital Collage Giclee Print Inspired by John 14:26-27 “My son,” Jesus says, “The Holy Spirit will help you. Peace is what I give to you. Not as the world gives it. My Father will send it in my name and when He does, you will know that it is from me.” Lord, make a channel for your peace. Greg J. Lewis Liturgical Artist & Designer $900 Framed |
Create a Clean Heart Digital Collage Giclee Print Inspired by Psalm 51 Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Desert Sentinel Digital Collage Giclee Print John the Baptist cries out in the desert that the Lord is coming. Prepare His way and make all of your paths straight for Him. Cross of Korban
Digital Collage Giclee Print
From the Hebrew word korban comes the definition of sacrifice. To draw near, to come closer to form a personal relationship. A relationship of sacrificial atonement
of a repentant heart, of a spiritual intent. A change of heart.

In the Beginning
Digital Imaging Giclee Print
Inspired by the Book of John 1
In the beginning was the Word. Through the Word, God made all things. The Word is a source of light and this life brought light to all mankind. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never put it out.

Lord, You Know Me Digital Collage Giclee Print Inspired by Psalm 139 The Lord examines me, knows me and everything I do. His knowledge of me is too deep and beyond my understanding. A SACRED SPACE FOR THE HOME
We require much from our community worship spaces. A place of focus, order and prayer, beauty, and safety. A sense of holiness, a sense of the sacred, looking to God. This can be true in our living spaces as well. Large or small it can become a personal sign and symbol
of our own spiritual identity. Thus, a sacred space in the home.
What was your earliest memory of a sacred place? And how did you feel in it? And if you could create a sacred space in the home today, what would it look like? Where would it be? What special meaning objects would you put in it?
And most importantly, what would keep you from doing it?

The Guardian
Hand Carved Folding Screen in Wood
The Gospel writings tell us of the angel at the tomb of Jesus. Not only was the angel a messenger for those who entered to find the body was gone, but an angel was guarding the tomb through the night. Bold, beautiful, energized to move the stone securing the entrance to the tomb. “For why do you seek Him? For He is not here!”

Home Tabernacle - Holy Box Fabricated in Oregon White Maple & African Jatoba Hardwoods In some sanctuary worship settings, the tabernacle is a holy box representing the housing, or covering of the Eucharist (thanksgiving) bread, the Body of Christ. For just as some churches provide a tabernacle of reservation, we can provide personal signs and symbols of our prayers and remembrances in our homes. Greg J. Lewis Liturgical Artist & Designer NFS |
EVEN THE STONES SACRED SPACE
When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees, He spoke of the necessity of praise to the Father. If people are not allowed to acknowledge, praise and worship the Father, then the very stones would cry out. My early spiritual journey experience was one of praise at every turn. It has now evolved to one of a more temperate praise, to include an increased desire to contemplative praise and listening of the Holy Spirit.

Even the Stones - Suite in Three Movements
Digital Watercolor Prints from 35mm Photographs
When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees, He talked about praise to His Father in heaven. He said if you do not let all to acknowledge praise to the Father, then the very stones will cry out in praise, glory and thanksgiving.
Zen Sand Meditation Table
Ebony Stained Oregon White Maple Hardwood
The creation of the sand table is to provide an outward sign of my quiet solitude in prayer without ceasing. The white sand represents my journey of daily washing to become “whiter than snow”. The stones represent my daily prayer and praise. I remember the words of Jesus, that the very stones would cry out in praise.
